Hayley's Bridal Shower Weekend

This weekend we were up north for Hayley’s Bridal Shower Weekend. There are just 11 weeks to go until Hayley and Shawn’s big day!!

On Saturday afternoon David went to NYC for lunch with his brother at Joe's Shanghai, their favorite dumpling restaurant in NYC while I relaxed at Hayley’s parents beautiful home in Westhampton Beach, NY

It was a gorgeous sunny day and such a treat to spend time with both Hay and Jodi.

Hayley’s parents, fiancé Shawn, newlyweds Mel and Russ, and Hayley’s good friend Alana joined us for an afternoon by the pool. There were jet-skis, a delicious lunch and dinner outside and a cozy bonfire that evening.

even the sunsets in the Hamptons are beautiful!

On Sunday morning we went to Hayley’s bridal shower at Old Westbury Golf & Country Club. Hosted by Shawn’s mother, aunt and sister- it was an absolutely beautiful (and happy!) afternoon.

I got to spend some time with my mom and a bunch of familiar Dix Hills faces I haven’t seen in a while. Hay did a great job with answering questions during the “newlywed game” and was a great sport. I also have to compliment Jodi on her ribbon hat-making skills and Carolyn for her present unwrapping and expediting work. It was quite the workout!

At the end of the afternoon, Shawn brought Hayley a bouquet of beautiful roses.

Thanking everyone for coming.

Then it was back to Jersey to pick up David and on towards home in Maryland. With a short pit-stop at our favorite South Jersey WaWa, we made it home with very little traffic or drama. Ever try to avoid even thinking about how lucky you are doing with traffic because you don’t want to jinx it by even thinking it?

It was a long but fantastic weekend- and a true collaborative effort. Thanks to my mom for all of your help throughout the last few weeks, to Fran and Dov for keeping the hours flexible and the rates at Hotel Ehrlich so low (ha!), to Esther and Rob for hosting us on Saturday, to Sandy and Alana for hosting us on Sunday, to Jodi for being such a kick-ass partner in crime and to Allison, Alana G, Alana R, Carolyn and Mel for being such a great (and patient) wedding party.

See you in Vegas, baby!
